I've been distracted from my beading and blogging for quite a while, but I've finally managed to finish one bead project.
These Spinner Earrings are worked in brick stitch with size 11 delica beads. I've worked them in a combination of opaque and transparent beads to give them a demensional effect.
For your shopping convenience, they are available at
My ArtFire Studio

BeadPatternsBoutique
I hope to get back into my blogging routine soon and bring you more beading technique instructions and pictures of new beadwork I've made.

All Occasion Earring Collection
I've finished compiling the first pattern collection of the year. All Occasion Earring Collection features my best selling earrings of the year,Beads in a Gilded Cage, Full Moon, Fleur de Lis, and Red Hat.
All of these projects work up quickly so there's plenty of time to make them for gifts for friends and family.
The Beads in a Gilded Cage is RAW and the pattern contains step by step illustrations and text.
Full Moon earrings is a modified St. Petersburg Chain and also contains step by step illustrations. These two patterns are written for beginners, so if you don't know these two stitches you can learn while you make the earrings.
Fleur de Lis and Red Hat are free form brick stitch. You must know how to work brick stitch and how to increase and decrease.
This collection represents more than 15% savings over buying the patterns separately, so come on by BeadPatternsBoutique and get your copy.
On another note: BeadPatternsBoutique blog has published a very indepth look at spam and how to handle it. As we all depend on our computers to stay in touch with the world and buy and sell products, this is some must know information.

Beads in a Gilded Cage Earrings
I've finished a new earring pattern "Beads in a Gilded Cage" and have uploaded it to BeadPatternsBoutique.com.The Pendant isn't really twice as big as the earrings, It's just a close-up picture. In the pattern I've included instructions for all three cages plus instructions for attaching to ear wires and making a simple bail for a pendant. The cage is worked in a simple right angle weave technique and instructions are detailed.
On another note, I told you about the beads I'd gotten free from ArtBeads.com and had said I had plans for the rose quartz toggle. Well my plan didn't work. The ring is too small to accomodate the beads I needed to use to attach the toggle, so it's back to the drawing board. The toggle in the picture on the Artbeads site is clearly attached with just a stringing material. Since I'm not a stringer I don't have any such material on hand, but a toggle doesn't necessarily have to be a toggle that actually opens. You know what they say about more than one way to . . . Well I won't say any more just yet, but I do have another plan in mind.
Elementry School will be out for Christmas break on the 18th of this month. Depending on when my Daughter in law gets out of her classes I will either be having more time or less time to bead and blog over the break. If DIL doesn't start break as soon as grand daughter does, I'll have grand daughter all day instead of just an hour after school, so if my blog posts get even fewer and further between you'll know what happened to me.
